Design Philosophy

The primary goal of our Hi-Vis Reflective Lime Safety Vest is to enhance the visibility of workers in low-light conditions and high-traffic areas. The breakaway design ensures that the vest can be easily removed if caught on any equipment, preventing potential accidents. Materials

Fluorescent Yellow Polyester Mesh Material

The vest is made from high-quality fluorescent yellow polyester mesh material. This material is chosen for its excellent breathability and moisture-wicking properties, ensuring that the wearer remains cool and dry even in hot and humid conditions. The mesh design allows for maximum air circulation, reducing the risk of overheating and discomfort.

Limited Flammability Treated Material

While the vest is not intended for protection against arc flash or flash fire, it is treated with a limited flammability material. This treatment ensures that the vest will not easily catch fire and will self-extinguish if it does come into contact with a flame. This added safety feature provides an extra layer of protection for workers in environments where fire hazards may be present.

2-Inch Silver Reflective Stripes

The vest features 2-inch wide silver reflective stripes strategically placed on the front, back, and sides. These stripes are designed to reflect light in low-light conditions, making the wearer highly visible to others, especially drivers and heavy machinery operators. The reflective material used is of the highest quality, ensuring long-lasting visibility and durability.

Production Process

Precision Cutting and Stitching

The production process begins with precision cutting of the polyester mesh material. Each piece is cut to exact specifications to ensure a consistent and high-quality product. The stitching process is carefully controlled to ensure that the seams are strong and durable. Reinforced stitching is used in high-stress areas to prevent tearing and ensure the longevity of the vest.

Hook and Loop Closures

The hook and loop closures are carefully attached to ensure a secure fit. These closures are tested for durability and reliability, ensuring that they will not come undone accidentally. The design allows for quick adjustments, making it easy for workers to put on and take off the vest multiple times throughout the day.

5-Point Breakaway Design

The 5-point breakaway design is a unique safety feature of this vest. In the event that the vest gets caught on any equipment, the breakaway points will release, allowing the wearer to break free easily. This design prevents entanglement and reduces the risk of accidents, making it an essential feature for workers in dynamic environments.

Pocket Design

The vest includes two pockets, one on the outside and one on the inside. The outer pocket is designed for quick access to small tools, flashlights, or other essentials. The inner pocket is perfect for storing personal items such as keys, ID cards, or a mobile phone. Both pockets are securely stitched and designed to prevent items from falling out during movement.

Compliance and Standards

ANSI/ISEA 107 2020 Standard - Type R, Class 2

This Hi-Vis Reflective Lime Safety Vest meets the ANSI/ISEA 107 2020 Standard - Type R, Class 2. This standard ensures that the vest provides the highest level of visibility and safety for workers in various environments. The vest is designed to be visible from a distance of at least 1,280 feet (390 meters) under low-light conditions, making it ideal for use in roadwork, construction, and other high-visibility applications.

Non-Flame Resistant

It is important to note that this garment is not flame resistant as defined by ANSI/ISEA 107 Section 10.5. While it is treated with a limited flammability material, it is not designed to provide protection against arc flash or flash fire. Users should be aware of this limitation and ensure that they are using the appropriate protective equipment for their specific work environment.
